Clif has been a resident of Lakeside Park for 5 years. He worked as a self-taught mechanic for BART. According to his friends and fellow employees, he was a "Jack of all Trades" and loved to be challenged with repairing jobs that others did not have the patience to resolve. Friends would ask him "How did you know how to do that" and Clif would answer "I just figured it out."
Clif has two lovely daughters and has many relatives in Tennessee. His hobbies are golf, billiards, gardening and sports. In his day he was the guy at work that organized all the game night activities and pool tournaments. Clif's gentle smile and love for working with his hands continues to shine today. We are all grateful to have Clif in our lives...

On August 23rd Lakeside Park residents held their first council
meeting. Cocktails and yummy appetizers were enjoyed by all (nonalcoholic)
of course. The meeting started off with a brief description from each
member on what they felt a President, Vice-President and
Secretary position meant to them and the role each candidate
would serve. The voting took place. The council got right down to
business and had lots to discuss. Congratulations to the elected
officers and thank you for all the great input regarding our
community. Meetings are every 3rd Tuesday at 4pm.
Born in Dallas, Texas Glenda came to Oakland, California in
1976. Glenda decided then that she was interested in caring for
others, attending Summit Hospital trainings.
Glenda has been at Lakeside Park for 6 1/2 years. "I like the
history of our residents." Glenda actually took care of a resident
that was in the Cotton Club. "She sat up straight and proper"
Glenda remembers. Glenda's motto is never give up. She
lovingly cares for all the residents and you will notice that she
does those extra special things like, cutting a piece of toast in
fours and spreads jam on each little piece for her resident.
Glenda is a widower, her husband Brad was a Vietnam Vet. She
has two children Iman 21 yrs. old and Roderick 39 yrs. old.
Glenda is a loving grandmother of 5 Grandkids.
On her time away from Lakeside Park her hobbies are reading
and she loves to draw. We are blessed to have Glenda as part of
our Lakeside Park family.
